Iona Bain is a journalist, broadcaster and blogger specialising in personal finance and young people. Her Young Money Blog has become the leading, independent authority on the subject and has seen her become a regular in the media and an adviser to financial services companies on how best to serve a new, younger customer. Iona has been named Money Blogger of the Year and published Spare Change, an engaging look at money and attitudes towards spending and saving, in 2016
She is currently working on her follow up - OWN IT - which is all about long-term saving and investing and will be published later this year.
Iona appears frequently on TV and radio, with appearances ranging from Woman's Hour and Radio 1's Life Hacks to Newsnight and Channel 4 News. She has also written extensively for print and online media, most recently becoming a regular contributor to the Financial Times. She is also the youngest ever governor of the Pensions Policy Institute and was recently named one of the 15 most influential women in finance.
